Nintendo’s absence at this year’s E3 has been officially confirmed. Let’s find out all the details in this news
After two canceled editions and one held only online, all due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the famous video game fair is preparing this year to finally return to presence on the dates from 13 to 16 June. For almost thirty years the event has represented one of the most important moments of the year for all the biggest software houses in the world, but in 2023 it really seems that the Elettronica Entertainment Expo will have to do without another big name in the gaming industry . Nintendo has in fact officially confirmed its absence at E3 2023.
Nintendo’s absence at E3 2023 has been confirmed
While Ubisoft is preparing its official line-up in view of this year’s E3, the official confirmation has arrived in the last few hours that Nintendo will be absent from the popular American fair. In the official press release, the Kyoto giant seems to have declared that this year’s fair is not compatible with its plans and therefore the decision was taken not to participate, while continuing to support this event and its organization.
Given the popularity achieved by the Direct organized by the Grande N to spread news about their upcoming titles, this choice is not surprising at all. We just have to wait to find out how in the coming months the software house will decide to act to reveal its future projects. In the meantime, it seems that it will still be worth keeping an eye on the American fair, as the organizers promise to be at work crafting “a new type of show”.
