BARCELONA – Honor Magic 5, Honor Magic 5 Pro e Honor Magic Vs: these are the devices that competed for the attention of the public during the press conference of the Chinese brand at MWC 2023. On the one hand we find the last two members of the Magic 5 family, which we have already tested with the Lite, on the one hand a new leaflet which is now finally ready for the European market. Honor Magic 5 Series
Honor Magic 5 Pro comes with a new design, an evolution of the already well-known Eye of Muse. The camera module is in fact still circular but is now called Star Wheel Triple Cam and is raised with respect to the main body of the smartphone thanks to soft curved lines inspired by the style of Gaudì.
The same delicate softness can also be found along the edges of this device, with symmetrical double-curved ultra-narrow bezels on both sides.
The display is a 6.81-inch LTPO with a unique quad-curved floating screen, a peak HDR brightness of 1800 nits and Delta = 0.27 for incredible color fidelity. Also on board is the Discrete Display chipset which offers an always-on HDR (High Dynamic Range) effect to improve video sharpness and guarantees a higher frame rate with lower power consumption. Honor Magic 5 Pro also is certified with HDR10+ and IMAX Enhanced so you can enjoy videos and movies with optimized image quality.
Great attention is also paid to the well-being of those who will then use this device, with the function Dynamic Dimming which simulates natural light to relieve eye strain. However, the Chinese company did not stop there. After all, it wouldn’t be a flagship without an excellent photographic sector: on the front we have a 12 megapixel sensor accompanied by the 3D Depth Camera while on the back we have 3 sensors of 50 megapixel, with a larger sensor that should allow you to capture more light and obtain great photos even in the dark.
To support all this a series of algorithms for razor-sharp 3.5x to 100x zoom imagesa faster shutter speed and the ability to better capture the movement.
On the privacy front we find a Dual-TEE safety system co-developed with Qualcomm, which offers hardware-level protection for user data, and theAI Privacy Call 2.0 which introduces industry-first spatial sound energy control technology, which generates opposing sound waves to avoid sound leakage in private phone calls.
