CoD Black Ops Cold War: no confirmation from Activision but multiplayer should be free for the whole weekend
As reported by Charlie INTEL, the (long) weekend of multiplayer free of CoD Black Ops Cold War will start on Thursday May 27 and will last until Tuesday 1st of June. We haven’t heard anything official from Treyarch, Raven, or Activision about the free trial yet, but there’s no reason to doubt the source in this specific case. The leaked marketing material looks authentic, and Charlie INTEL is a pretty reliable source for Call of Duty-themed news.

In short, it would seem like a good time to check out Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies Outbreak mode, as just last week it received a great old update which added its first main mission, a long list of zombie-specific weapon tuning and, finally, the long-awaited fishing.
Outbreak is a new mode open world added to the game in February as part of the season 2, and it looks like it’s fast becoming Treyarch’s main focus for Zombies. Most of Black Ops Cold War’s massive mid-season Zombie update was actually intended for the aforementioned Outbreak, and now the free weekend should “turn the spotlight” on the mode.
