In the past few hours, THQ Nordic and Pieces Interactive have announced the release date of the Alone in the Dark reboot, also releasing a prologue that can be played for free on all platforms: let’s find out all the details together in this dedicated article
October is notoriously the month dedicated to horror, due to a collective imagination which, thanks to the anniversary of the Halloween party, makes it globally the scariest month of the year. And if, on the stage of the last PlayStation Showcase, we discovered that in the month of October we will finally be able to get our hands on Alan Wake 2, another awaited great return of the genre will enter just a little earlier. We’re talking about the reboot of Alone in the Dark, of which we recently discovered the release date and… a way to try it for free!
Alone in the Dark: between release date, demos and actors!
Alone in the Dark will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X | S and PC (Steam, GOG) starting next October 25th, as announced by THQ Nordic and developers Pieces Interactive. The game is already available for pre-order, but that’s not all. The company has indeed released Alone in the Dark: Prologue, a free playable prologue that sets the mood without revealing anything about the main storyline. You can download it from the stores of all platforms.
THQ Nordic has also announced that the protagonists of the reboot of Alone in the Dark, Emily Harwood and Edward Canby, will be played respectively by Jodie Comer (Killing Eve, Free Guy) e David Harbour (Stranger Things, Black Widow). Each actor will therefore lend their voice, appearance and skills to the character and, based on which one we choose, we will be able to experience two versions of the same story.
In short, while awaiting the release of the Alone in the Dark reboot, we are preparing to experience the free prologue available on all platforms.
