On the occasion of Tudum 2023 Netflix released the first teaser trailer of the One Piece live-action series: let’s watch it together!
Tudum 2023, the Netflix event live from São Paulo promised many surprises and these have arrived: they concern the TV series and films of the platform, with lots of news on renewals, new projects and officially released trailers. One of these is the surprise teaser trailer for Squid Game 2 and on this occasion also another teaser trailer that fans have been waiting for. It goes without saying that One Piece, this new live-action series from Netflix is highly anticipated and also comes with very high expectations. It was the original creator of the series who raised them, Eiichiro Oda who wrote a letter to the fans to reassure them of the quality and attention they are putting into making the live-action series faithful to the original story.
In the trailer we can see for the first time the leading actor, Iñaki Godoy in the role of Monkey D. Luffy, a teenager, captain of a crew of young people in search of a place in the world and above all of the One Piece treasure. I’m with him Mackenyu come Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd come Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson come Usopp e Taz Skylar come Sanji.
The release date
The One Piece Live action series will be released on Netflix on August 31, 2023 and will count 8 episodes in its first season. Let’s review the synopsis together:
Based on Japan’s best-selling manga series ever created by Eiichiro Oda, One Piece is a legendary sea adventure like no other. Monkey D. Luffy is a young adventurer who has always dreamed of a life of freedom.
