Watchmen the famous DC comic will become an animated film in 2024, to announce it, just DC Entertainment during the San Diego Comic-Con 2023
Watchmen is a famous and historic DC Comics comic published between 1986 and 1987 and composed of 12 albums which over the years has already inspired many television and film adaptations. During the San Diego Comic-Con 2023, one of the most anticipated event for lovers of TV series and cinema, DC Entertainment announced that an animated film is in anticipation, which will be broadcast in 2024.
Watchmen: will soon be an animated film
The original story of this comic is set in an alternate 1985 in which the United States won the Vietnam war thanks to the use of superheroes, but a new conflict is about to break out, namely the nuclear one with the Soviet Union. A story that has certainly inspired a lot over the years, in fact this comic had already become a live-action directed by Zack Snyder that went into theaters in 2009 and also a TV series produced by Damon Lindelof in 2019 which was the first inspired by a comic to win an Emmy Award.
The details of this new animated film are not yet known, so even who will be the director and the screenplay, we will probably still have to wait with the end of the summer for the announcement. DC did make another announcement though, namely another new film titled Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earthsinspired by the comic event of the same name by Marv Wolfman and George Péreze, published in 1985.
There are therefore many DC projects for next year, which obviously bring a lot of irons to the fire above all because they come from the original comics which in some cases have not yet been adapted. We just have to wait to find out more details, always here on TechGameWorld.com.
