From 1 September, all new models of the Range Rover, Defender and Discovery brands will be covered by a new and extended five-year manufacturer’s warranty
This initiative is designed to give customers greater peace of mind when choosing a JLR-manufactured vehicle.
The new warranty will apply to all models on the road in Europe and will extend the existing warranty from three to five years or 150,000 kilometres, whichever is met first.
Greater security for JLR customers
With this extended warranty, customers will be fully protected and will be able to continue enjoying the highest standards of service for a longer period than before.
Range Rover, Defender and Discovery owners will have access to InControl Remote connectivity for five years or 150,000 kilometreswhich offers enhanced convenience and emergency roadside assistance, in line with JLR’s Modern Luxury approach.
Standard automotive industry warranties are generally three years, so this new five-year warranty is a significant benefit for customers of the Range Rover, Defender and Discovery brands. From 1 September 2023, all models of these brands will be covered by the new five-year warranty, including mild and plug-in Electric Hybrid models.
This warranty extension aims to improve the customer and owner experience throughout the coverage periodallowing them to transparently calculate maintenance and operating costs over a longer period.
The new five-year warranty will enhance the ownership experience and have a positive impact on the residual value of Range Rover, Defender and Discovery vehicles. leading to advantages in the resale of used vehicles. A higher residual value reduces the long-term cost of ownership, making leasing and financing arrangements more competitive.
InControl Remote connectivity and future vision
For all newly registered models, expanded access to InControl Remote connectivity will be available. This system simplifies user interaction with their vehicle, even from a distance.
The smartphone application allows you to monitor the remaining fuel level, the charge status and the condition of the doors and windows. InControl Remote also optimizes roadside assistance and can automatically send an emergency call if needed.

I think that is awesome ! I ordered my new defender 5 months ago and it due to arrive this month September ! On the contract it say 3 years but I take it will be changed when I pick up the car.
