Mercedes-Benz he revealed his Concept CLA Class at the salonIAA Mobility 2023 in Munich, which marks the brand’s entry into the electric and digital age. A really cool design, based on the future platform Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA).
One of the most notable features is the system new generation electric tractionwhich promises an extraordinary autonomy of over 750 kilometres in the WLTP cycle. Ola Källenius, Chief Executive Officer of the Mercedes-Benz Group AG, comments: “The Concept CLA Class is the forerunner of a completely new segment of all-electric entry-level vehicles from Mercedes-Benz. The range will include a total of four new models – a four-door coupe, a shooting brake and two striking SUVs – each with significantly high product substance. This new family of models is aimed at a generation of customers who are looking for the unmistakable Mercedes-Benz feeling, with more functions, even greater comfort and safety and the most advanced technology”.
Another important aspect of the Concept CLA Class it is attention to the environment and sustainability. Mercedes-Benz has used sustainable materials in the vehicle’s structure and interior, from the production of nearly CO2-free steel to the use of low-CO2 aluminum. These vehicles, after all, are part of the line’s electrification program by 2039. Sustainability is therefore essential.
Digital experience
The concept also introduces the new operating system MB.OS, which offers an advanced user interface and an unprecedented user experience. The Superscreen MBUX, based on the innovative display of the VISION EQXXoffers state-of-the-art real-time graphics, enhancing the interaction between the driver and the vehicle.
This concept represents an accessible and sustainable interpretation of Mercedes-Benz’s vision for the future of the automobile. There are also several security solutions, such as the Child Presence Detection, which reduces the possibility of leaving children in the car when it is too hot or cold.
