Whether it’s called Nintendo Switch 2 or not, the Kyoto next-gen prototype could be around Gamescom, according to the latest rumor
A lot of water passed under the bridge before we could call Tears of the Kingdom by its name, and now the timing of the rumor lead us to have to speak in these terms of Nintendo Switch 2if what is said to have happened to is true Gamescom. Naturally, caution with which to take what follows remains de rigueur, but apparently the fair held in Cologne (Germany) between the 23rd and 27th of August just ended was hiding a secret. The tom-tom of the foreign sector press is giving free rein to the rumours, according to which the Big N would have shown a “polished” version (to paraphrase) of Breath of the Wild, although the rumors insist on how much it is “just a a tech demo”.

The rumors about Nintendo Switch 2: what happened within the walls of Gamescom?
Although there is “nothing” to suggest that “the game will be re-released”, there are other rumors circulating about the new console, such as a possible launch in the second half of 2024 for Nintendo Switch 2. According to EurogamerFurthermore, the Kyoto giant seems “inclined” to anticipate the times, “if possible”. The other rumor we talked about concerns the alleged Direct next week, for which the waiting times for confirmations or denials will fortunately be shorter. Just before sending this article to print, VideoGamesChronicle (tweet above) made matters worse by talking about a specific tech demo: none other than The Matrix Awakens, the showcase of Unreal Engine 5 that would put the platform like PS5 and Xbox Series.
