The hype continues to grow for Nintendo Switch 2the long-awaited version of the console from the big N. Apparently a prototype of the gaming platform was present at the Gamescom 2023in which we at techgameworld.com were also present, even if we did not spot the mysterious object.
What we know about Nintendo Switch 2
In truth, as reported in these hours by Eurogamer, the console was shown behind closed doors to a selected series of video game developers, who were able to test it. An anonymous source reports that Nintendo tested the Switch 2 alongside a new version of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, specially optimized for the new generation. Jez Corden from Windows Central also confirmed this anonymous source.
Heard some rumors recently that Nintendo maybe showed/maybe discussed the new Switch behind closed doors to select press/devs @ Gamescom.

At the moment, public details on the new console remain absolutely scarce, but we can certainly expect more powerful hardware for better graphics performance. The first Switch arrived on the market in 2017, and is preparing to celebrate its 7th anniversary.
We are unlikely to see the Switch 2 before the second half of 2024but an announcement could already arrive soon.
