Purely Disney plot and inspiration for Wish, the new upcoming film
It seems that the new animated film is partially inspired by the Disney song When You Wish Upon a Star written for the soundtrack of the 1940 animated classic Pinocchio. The plot tells of Asha, a witty idealist who makes a wish with so much power that it is then granted by a cosmic force, a small sphere of unlimited energy named Star . Together, Asha and Star will have to face King Magnificent, ruler of Rosasto save their community and show the world that the willpower of a single person, when connected with the magic of the stars, has the ability to make wonderful things happen.
Asha will be voiced by actress Ariana DeBose, the Magnificent will be voiced by Chris Pine, while Valentino, Asha’s talking goat will be voiced by Alan Tudyk. The film’s original music is by composer Dave Metzger. Included are original songs by Grammy Award nominee Julia Michaels and Grammy-winning producer, songwriter and musician Benjamin Rice.
