In the past few hours, Remedy Entertainment has revealed all the presets and the minimum and recommended requirements for the PC version of Alan Wake 2, the sequel to the 2010 cult classic arriving at the end of the month
We have already ticked Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Super Mario Wonder from the big releases of this rather significant October 2023 and now we are waiting for the last one, at least until November. Alan Wake 2 is the direct sequel to the events of the unluckiest writer ever, narrated in a first chapter that has now become a 2010 cult. There are now just a few days left until the launch, scheduled for October 27th on PS5, Xbox Series S and PC and, precisely for this latest version, Remedy has disclosed new details in the last few hours. Yes, let’s talk about the minimum and recommended requirements.
Alan Wake 2: all setups and requirements for the PC version
A very long list indeed, in this case, if we consider that Remedy Entertainment has created six different setup requirements, three of which with Ray Tracing activated. Even with the lowest possible specifications, the requirements are very heavy indeed. If we consider that with the options at minimum and with Ray Tracing deactivated you will still need a GeForce RTX 2060 or a Radeon RX 6600 (with 6 GB of VRAM) with an i5-7600K processor or AMD equivalent next to it to run Alan Wake 2 at 1080p and 30 FPS, well… pretty demanding.

If, however, you want to run the game at maximum performance, i.e. in 4K at 60FPS with Ray Tracing and all the necessary features, you will need a GeForce RTX 4080 (with 16GB of VRAM) and a Ryzen 7 3700X or equivalent Intel processor . Regardless of your setup, you will still need to have an SSD, around 90GB of free space and 16GB of RAM. However, you can find all the requirements in the Tweet shared by Remedy itself, we put it right here above.
