They haven’t revealed a specific date yet, but Disney has confirmed that the second season of What If…? It will arrive for the Christmas period as a Christmas gift. When Americans talk about holiday season they mean the period between the Christmas holidays and the beginning of the new year, so expect to enjoy the return of the animated series in that period of time. We’ll have to wait the first trailer to find out the precise release date.
Marvel will be our Santa Claus: the second season of What If will be a Christmas present
While waiting to see the trailer that will reveal the precise day on which the second season of What If…? will be published on the Disney+ streaming platform, we already have the episode titles (although not yet official) which have given us some clues as to what we will see in the new season. We know for sure that we will see the cut episode from the first season with Tony Stark e Nebula on Sakaar, and the one with the introduction of the new character, the Native American superheroine kahhorticreated specifically for the series with Bryan Andrews directing and writing Graham e Joel Fisher. It is not yet clear whether the second season will be completely anthological or will lead to a crossover in the final episode as was the case for the first season. If there’s one thing we’ve learned from Marvel, it’s that they love creating interconnections between the characters, films and TV series, it wouldn’t surprise us if they continued the story of the Guardians of the Multiverse.
We particularly enjoyed the first season, especially thanks to the sophisticated animation style which has its own identity. The series surprised us precisely for this reason, and receiving the second season of What If…? We’re very excited about it as a Christmas gift!
