Sony has revealed the logo for Venom 3, which will be the last film in which Tom Hardy will play the character of Eddie Brock, but the logo is different from that of the second film and it raises the question of who will be the threat of the new film that Venom will have to face
That the third film dedicated to Venom will be the last one we will see Tom Hardy (read the actor’s filmography here) as the Marvel antihero is now well known. Although this version of Venom has divided critics and audiences (here is our review of the first film), saying goodbye to Tom Hardy in this saga still leaves a bit of a bad taste in the mouth. However, knowing this, onto the plot actually we don’t know anything yetand even if the second film had a logo that suggested who we would see as Venom’s opponent, the third logo instead is completely shrouded in mystery and we can’t understand who the new opponent might be. Meanwhile, filming of the film restarted after the strike and for the occasion at CES 2024 in Las Vegas showed the logo of Venom 3 and Madame Web.
The mysterious logo of Venom 3: who will challenge the antihero?
If with the second film it was clear who the villain would be, with a recognizable blood red color surrounded by the substance of the symbiote. They had made it clear that he would be Carnage and so it was, reconnecting to the post-credit of the first film. Now, though, all we have is the name of the movie with a 3 colored scarlet. Since Carnage was defeated in the second film, it is obvious that the villain will be someone else. Today, as also specified by Screen Rantthere are in the cast of the film Juno Temple e Chiweteò Ejiofor as a new entry, but that’s all we know in an unknown plot in which anything can really happen.
To stay in line with what we saw in Venom 2, however, perhaps that scarlet color is connected to a character who could appear in the third film: Toxin. In the previous film we see the policeman Patrick Mulligan coming into contact with another symbiote, you can tell by the agent’s eyes becoming a bright blue color, reminiscent of those of the character. Most likely, therefore, in the third film we will see Toxin, which was born from Carnage and in turn born from Venom. Will there perhaps be a clash between grandfather and grandson?
