Apparently those who have obtained Greedfall via PS Plus will not be eligible for the free upgrade for PS5
Bad news for all gamers got the video game Greedfall via PS Plus, in fact they will not be able to upgrade to PS5 at no additional cost. The title developed by Spiders and published by Focus Home Interactive comes out today June 30th in a new version called Gold Edition which includes graphical improvements that allow the game to have a resolution in 4K, fast loading and the addition of a new expansion called The De Vespe Conspiracy. Those in possession of the original title on PS4 and Xbox One will be able to enjoy the graphical improvements with a free upgrade, unless you redeemed it last January when it was included in the PS Plus.
Greedfall: The free upgrade for PS5 will not be available to those who obtained it via the PS Plus
Apparently a new case similar to what has already been seen with Final Fantasy VII Remake is repeating itself with the title of Focus Home Interactive. It will not be possible to get the free upgrade for PS5 for whoever has redeemed Greedfall via PS Plus. In fact, in order to obtain the graphic updates, users will have to buy the Gold Edition arriving today on the digital stores.

The unfortunate issue was also confirmed by the Official Twitter of the game, which saw numerous angry users commenting on this choice by publisher Focus Home Interactive. The thing that has infuriated users the most is the fact that the next gen update is instead available to anyone who has the game on Game Pass from Microsoft, at no additional cost. Apparently, therefore, the problem is more related to the Sony platform, and probably after FFVII Remake and Greedfall new similar cases could arrive in the future.
