Mark Zuckerberg he touches her very slowly, and in a video on social media (his social media obviously) compared the new Apple Vision Pro headset with Meta Quest 3. The result according to the Meta CEO? You can imagine it for yourself.
Mark Zuckerberg compares Apple Vision Pro to Meta Quest 3
In a three-minute video on his Instagram profileZuckerberg claimed that the Meta Quest 3 can do pretty much the same things as the Apple headset but at a much lower price. In fact, we remind you that Vision Pro (which is not yet available in Italy) is sold in the USA at a price of $3,499. On the other hand, Meta Quest 3 only costs $499 (for Europe the price is €549).
In the video Zuckerberg listed some advantages of Meta Quest 3 over its bitten apple counterpart, such as lower weight, wider field of vision, absence of cables and integrated battery. The Facebook founder also admitted that the Vision Pro has a high-resolution display and “very nice” eye-tracking sensors, but added that this comes at a sacrifice to the ergonomics and comfort of the device. He further announced that Meta will introduce eye-tracking sensors in future Quest products.
Another point in favor of Meta Quest 3, according to Zuckerberg, it is the availability of a “much larger” library of immersive content and games than that of Vision Prowhich currently has few apps that take full advantage of its hardware.
Zuckerberg concluded his video by saying that “the future is not written” (unknowingly quoting dear Joe Strummer) and that “the best way to predict the future is to invent it” (probably quoting himself).
