Fans had to wait a while to see something, but it’s finally here: here’s the trailer for the Borderlands movie, based on the very famous and beloved video game saga!
Finally, as we predicted after seeing the first images, Lions Gate Entertainment released the first official trailer for the Borderlands movie. Many have been waiting for this film for a long time, especially all those fans who have played all the chapters that make up the video game saga. In reality, Lions Gate had already promised that we would see the trailer of the film the day after showing the first images in which we see the characters and some posters dedicated to each of them. Apparently, the film production company kept its promise and the trailer gives all the vibes we found in video games. It therefore seems that it will remain faithful to the brilliant and electric character typical of the videogame saga. Below you can find the trailer!
The crazy trailer for the Borderlands movie
In the film we will find Cate Blanchett play the character of Lilith, an outlaw woman with a mysterious past. She hesitantly returns to her home planet to find the missing daughter of the most powerful SOB in the universe, Atlasinterpreted by Edgar Ramirez. To accomplish this mission, Lilith will join a ragtag crew full of wacky and crazy characters. We find indeed Rolanda former mercenary seeking redemption with the face of Kevin Hart.
Then we have a cute little pre-teen with a wild character named Tiny Tinaplayed by Ariana Greenblatt. We have then Krieginterpreted by Florian Monteanuthe muscular bodyguard of little Tiny Tina with a speech disability, Finally we have Jamie Lee Curtis in the role of the scientist Tannis and, to conclude on a high note, Jack Black who gives his voice to Claptrap, the know-it-all and vulgar robot who is the icon of the video game series. The film is full of references to video games and for a moment we also see other iconic characters such as Mad Moxxi. The director is Eli Roth and will be released in cinemas on August 9th.
