BMW Group ended 2023 with results that exceeded expectations, marking the best operating result ever for the automotive segment. With double-digit growth, supported by an offering of electric vehicles (BEVs) and premium models, the company is now aiming even higher.
BMW closes 2023 on a growth note, and wants to continue growing
In the 2023 the BMW Group saw an increase of 74.2% in sales of fully electric vehicles, exceeding 375,000 specimens. This success not only strengthens BMW's position in electric mobility but also lays the foundation for a 2024 in the name of innovation and growth.
For the 2024, the BMW Group expects a slight increase in deliveries in the automotive segment, with double-digit growth for BEV models and those in the upper premium segment. Among these, they stand out la BMW Series 7, la BMW X7 and the model family Rolls-Royce, including the new all-electric Rolls-Royce Specter. Even the BMW 5 Series, with the new one BMW i5 available as a fully electric Touring model, it will contribute to this positive trend.
Investments and Research & Development are the buzzwords for 2024, with capital expenditures peaking as expected. These investments are focused on the electrification of the vehicle lineup and digital innovations, such as connectivity, software and automated driving.
Il future of the BMW Group is represented by NEW CLASS, with testing already underway and production scheduled for the second half of 2025. The NEUE KLASSE promises to offer a wide choice of models, including the BMW Vision Neue Klasse X, which previews the fully electric SAV segment of the future.
With more than two million electrified vehicles already on the roads, BMW continues to believe in an electric future — and will invest heavily to make it happen. We just have to wait to see the results.
