Proposed by Viz Media Bleach – The Thousand Year War is an anime adaptation inspired by the manga of the same name written and illustrated by Tite Kubo and published in Italy for Planet Manga. From season to season, Bleach can be viewed in streaming on an international scale, and therefore also in Italy, simultaneously with Japan on Disney Plus.
Bleach – The Thousand Year War: where to stream the anime series
The first season of the Bleach anime: Thousand Year Blood Wara sequel to the first animated adaptation of the series, simply called Bleach, is titled Blood War Saga and includes episodes 1 to 13. The episodes are directed by Tomohisa Taguchi and are produced by Pierrot. The episodes are adapted from the last story arc of the Bleach manga and correspond to chapters 480 to 542. The first season aired in Japan from October 11 to December 27, 2022 on TV Tokyo. In Italy it was distributed on July 5, 2023 on Disney+, where it is still present.
We remind you that the anime, which has been suspended since 2012, transposes the contents proposed by the 55th volume up to the last chapter published in the 74th. The Pierrot animation studio returns to produce the project. Furthermore, as stated by Tite Kubo himself, the anime will expand the contents of the manga story. In Italy the Bleach anime series began its run with dubbing ad April 2021. To date, fifteen seasons have been broadcast on Amazon Prime Video.

The manga inspired an anime series produced by Studio Pierrot from 2004 to 2012. The return of the anime with the adaptation of the last narrative arc, The Thousand Year War (details in our most recent article), will air in Japan from October 10, 2022. Additionally, the manga inspired an animated series broadcast on TV Tokyonovels, video games, animated specials, feature films, merchandise and even a movie in live action released on August 20, 2018 in Japanese theaters.
