The celebrations continue for the 30th anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Waiting to get your hands on Sonic Colors Ultimate, announced in May and coming September 7th on PS4, PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, SEGA continues to release exclusive content to celebrate the birthday of the most famous blue hedgehog ever. . In the past few hours, through a press release, the company announced it has partnered with energy drink manufacturer G FUEL to create a documentary mini-series called the Sonic All-Star Series. A long line of celebrities and influencers will participate in this initiative, called to share and relive their favorite memories of their Sonic over the years.
The episodes will be published in the coming weeks on the Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube channel, but the first episode is already available and we have integrated it into the body of this article. You can find it right below. The protagonist of the first episode is Jirard Khalil, much better known under the nickname of The Completionist, YouTuber and reviewer.
SEGA Kicks Off Sonic All-Star Series Documentary!
During the episode, Khalil talks about the evolution of the iconic series, noting how one of his favorite aspects of Sonic the Hedgehof was the introduction of the simultaneous multiplayer. In the episode he also tries to draw a portrait of Sonic and plays the classic Green Hill Zone Act 1 level of the original chapter of Sonic the Hedgehog, released in 1991.
