Recently, I Wonder Pictures, in collaboration with Unipol Biografilm Collection, released the Italian trailer of the brilliant French comedy A difficult year, directed by Olivier Nakache and Éric Toledano – already known for the resounding success of the blockbuster film Almost Amici – in Italian cinemas from November 30th. A Difficult Year tells the story of two incorrigible friends, Albert and Bruno (Pio Marmaï and Jonathan Cohen). One lives by his wits and the other has a disastrous personal life, but both are broke and in debt due to their compulsive consumerism. With these premises, the two one day decide to join an environmentalist group, attracted above all by the beer and chips offered at the meetings. In a half-hearted attempt to rebuild their lives and change their attitude, they will be involved and dragged by a series of people dominated by their ideals, young activists, climate alarmists, supporters of social justice and eco-responsibility. Will Albert and Bruno be able to find the path to redemption?
A difficult year will be presented Out of Competition on Saturday 25 November at the 41st edition of the Torino Film Festival and will arrive in cinemas from November 30th with I Wonder Pictures in collaboration with Unipol Biografilm Collection.
The synopsis of the film is as follows:
Albert and Bruno, two friendly freeloaders who are always broke, in an attempt to crash an aperitif find themselves involved in the activities of a group of eco-activists. Between deceptions, clumsy subterfuges and ramshackle protest actions, it will perhaps be an opportunity for the two friends to redeem themselves and put their lives back in order. From the directors of Almost Friends, a captivating and current comedy, between consumerism and environmentalism, with the hilarious comic duo formed by Jonathan Cohen and Pio Marmaï and a surprising Noémie Merlant.
