A Quiet Place: Day One, the prequel to the saga

Of A Quiet Place: Day One we know very little: the film will follow the vicissitudes of the Abbott family. We almost know for sure that there will be no protagonists from previous films Emily Blunt e John Krasinski, as the film will follow different characters at the beginning of the alien invasion we all know. Despite this lacktheir appearance with cameos is not excluded: Paramount intends to create a real franchise on this saga.

Returning to Day One, Krasinski even if he will not participate in the film as an actor, remains linked to the project as a producer. Together with him we find Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller, with Allyson Seeger serving as executive producer. The project was started in November 2020 under the direction of Jeff Nicholswhich he abandoned after a year giving way to Sarnoski (reduce yes Pig con Nicholas Cage).

The franchise of the successful Krasinski saga

Il first movie of the saga is released in theaters in 2018, cashing in well 341,000,000 dollars against a budget of only 17. This boom has confirmed that the franchise’s A Quiet Place is the spearhead of Paramount. The film had an incredible reception both from the point of view of the critics and from the point of view of the public, so much so that its sequel was planned. A Quiet Place II – released in theaters on June 24, 2021 and postponed several times due to the pandemic – taking home $ 297,370,000 (out of a cost of 60).

After the news of his prequel, we already know that A Quiet Place Part III is officially in the works and set to see the light in theaters in 2025. The announcement was made by the director and creator of the horror franchise John Krasinskion Paramount Investor Day.
