Learning to play with Rocksmith + on PC: how it works
The service is available for the price of € 14.99 for the monthly subscription, € 39.99 for quarterly and € 99.99 for 12 months. Those who already own Rocksmith 2014 (and closed beta participants who purchase a 3- or 12-month Rocksmith + subscription) will get a bonus in their first billing cycle. This consists of one free month for those who purchase a 3-month plan and three free months for those who purchase a 12-month plan.
Some of the features of Rocksmith +, as reported in the official press release, are:
- An ever-expanding library of over 5,000 songs of artists at the top of the charts, indie and emerging, to which new ones are added every week. Players will be able to learn to play the guitar by recording their favorite songs and discovering new music. Rocksmith + contains music of different genres from countries around the world. At this link you can consult the complete catalog.
- A set of tools to practice with a personalized experience. For example, Rocksmith + dynamically adapts to player progress, thanks to the Adaptive Difficulty function, which also introduces new notes and chords based on skill level; and if players want to practice on a specific riff, they can select the Riff Repeater to do so. These instruments were designed to give guitarists control of their musical learning path.
- Real-time note detection and feedback without the aid of peripherals thanks to the free Rocksmith + Connect app. In this way, the smartphone acts as a microphone on iOS and Android. The app works with acoustic or electric instruments played through an amplifier. Alternatively players can connect their power tools with the cable Rocksmith Real Tone, sold separately. What’s more, the Rocksmith + Connect app also works as an accurate professional guitar tuner.
- Interactive lessons and training tips that Rocksmith + generates based on goals, the skill level and progress of the players. In addition to learning and improving mechanics, players have video lessons available that range from correct technique to equipment, from instrument care to music appreciation and more. All through Rocksmith Discover.
Finally, it is worth noting that Rocksmith + collaborates with major musical instrument partners. Between these Gibson, Epiphone, Kramer, Ibanez, Ernie Ball, Ernie Ball Music Man, Marshall, Orange, Mesa/Boogie, Roland, Boss ed Electro-Harmonix.
