A Virtuo survey analyzes the relationship of the Milanese with the car

A Doxa research for Virtuo, 100% digital car rental service, investigated the relationship of the Milanese with the car. According to the survey data, 94% of respondents state that they have a car at their disposal. In addition, about 33% of the interviewees are ready to get back in the car even more than before to travel and spend the weekends outside the city. The preferred destinations are the cities of art (50%) as well as the possibility of exploring Italy without a fixed destination (31%). The ideal travel companion is the partner (44%) followed by family (30%) and best friends (15%).

The relationship of the Milanese with the car

According to the Virtuo survey, the Milanese use the car at least 4 days a week. About 49% of Milanese say they use the car 2-3 days a week at most. The use of the car is linked to various commissions (65%) and free time (61%). A high use is also recorded to go outside the city (59%). Only 36% of the answers confirmed the priority use of the car to go to work. Furthermore, about 67% of the Milanese state that they have combined the car with another means of transport (in 55% of cases the bicycle, traditional or electric).

The relationship with the rental

69% of the Milanese interviewed positively evaluate the idea of renounce the car owned in the event that there was the possibility to rent one one, at any time, with your smartphone. In particular, the service that provides for home delivery or collection at specific stations of the rented car is welcomed, a solution that Virtuo is expanding on Milan to meet the needs of citizens.
