It often happens that motorcycle manufacturers turn to renowned brands to design collections of equipment for motorcyclists. Partnerships with lifestyle brands are rarer, but they do exist, and are usually bikes dressed in the clothing brand’s colors.
This time we witness the reverse through the partnership tra Kawasaki e Adidas, with the famous three-stripe brand that launches two pairs of sneakers whose design is inspired by the Akashi motorcycle manufacturer.
These are not “motorcycle” sneakers, as Puma did in the past, but shoes to be worn every day and more precisely two emblematic models of the German brand that are part of its Originals collection.
Adidas has in fact reworked its ZX range, born in the mid-80s, integrating elements typical of the biker universe and the stylistic features of the Ninja sports series.
Adidas and Kawasaki reshape the ZX with the colors of the super sports Ninja
We find first the Adidas ZX 8000 which reflect the colors of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-7R. Made of leather, with a perforated upper, the shoe is blue, white and green and is embroidered with the Ninja logo on the outside and features a rigid heel with a chrome effect on the back.
Next to them, here la ZX 5K Boost which draws inspiration from the recent and modern Kawasaki ZX-10R. These sneakers have a more sober design where the black color stands out with some touches of the famous Kawasaki green. The ZX 5K Boost is made of mesh with black injected plastic inserts. Also in this case, the heel has a “chromed” plastic shell.
Produced in a limited edition, these two pairs of Kawasaki x Adidas sneakers are offered at 119 euros for the ZX 8000 and 159 euros for the ZX 5K Boost. The models are available from Adidas and its official dealers, while the ZX 5K are also on sale at Kawasaki dealerships.
