All the news of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Waiting for the official release of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet scheduled for November 18, 2022, a new trailer arrives today that shows all the news of the new titles for Nintendo Switch. The games will introduce Farigiraf (an evolution of Girafarig), Picnic mode and a new device called the MT Machine. Let’s find out below all the announcements.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: here are the news

Farigraf: a Longneck Pokémon

When Girafarig evolves into Farigiraf, the head on the neck and the one on the tail come together. Since Farigiraf’s two brains are now connected by thick nerves, his psychic powers are enhanced and he can emit psychic waves from the antennae on his head. He is always very attentive to the environment around him and, although he can detect dangers instantly, there are times when his body cannot react with the same speed as his two brains.

Ruminant is one of Farigiraf’s abilities, as well as being new to these titles. If the Pokémon with this Ability eats a Berry, it will eat it a second time at the end of the next turn. Armor Tail is another possible ability of Farigiraf, also first introduced in these titles. This ability prevents opponents from using moves that have high priority.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet introduce Picnics and baths

Players will be able to decide to have picnics in the various play areas, selecting from cups, water bottles and tablecloth designs. When the Pokémon eat the sandwiches they recover HP and in addition the meal will offer effects that will prove useful in the course of the adventure. It will be necessary to choose the ingredients carefully, however, balancing the tasty sandwich that we decide to stuff.

During picnics it will also be possible to take a bath to your Pokémon, to clean it from the mud accumulated during walks. Baths will also positively affect the bond between Pokémon and player, as well as recover HP.

The MT Machine

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet also introduces a tool that allows you to teach Pokémon new moves. It’s called the MT Tech Machine, and it’s installed in all Pokémon Centers. Coaches can decide to create their own MT using League Credits (CL) and materials. These can be collected around the game, as they are often dropped by wild Pokémon after battle.

With the continuation of the story, the MT available will increase more and more, also because the machines are disposable. It will therefore be necessary to create new ones.
