PlayStation Showcase 2021: all the news from Sony
Project EVE, announced a few years ago with a teaser trailer, is shown again during the PlayStation Showcase 2021 with a gameplay trailer. L’action RPG from the Korean studio SHIFT UP he is ready to conquer the public with his new heroine, ruthless enemies and a rather interesting combat system. At the moment we don’t have a launch window yet for the title but we know that it will be released exclusively on PlayStation 5.
Forspoken, coming in 2022
Forspoken is an action role-playing video game in development by Luminous Productions, a part of Square Enix. It will be released at spring 2022 for PC and PlayStation 5. According to director Takeshi Aramaki, the gameplay will focus on the speed of crossing the terrain and fluidity. Square Enix also described the game as a “story-driven adventure”.
The character will exist in an open world game format where players are able to travel anywhere at any time. The protagonist, Frey Holland she is a young woman who enters the beautiful but dangerous for the first time world of Athia and use magical powers to cross it and survive.
GhostWire: Tokyo
GhostWire: Tokyo is a video game action-adventure in first person. The player can use various psychic and paranormal abilities to defeat the ghosts and spirits that haunt Tokyo. Combat director Shinichiro Hara described combat as “karate that meets magic”, as the player character uses hand movements inspired by Kuji-kiri gestures to cast spells.
When an enemy loses most of their health, their core is exposed and the player can use takedown moves to destroy them, defeating the spirit.
Almost all citizens of Tokyo they mysteriously disappeared and otherworldly spirits (known as Visitors) invaded the city. The supernatural powers of the main character then begin to manifest. As the player battles the spirits that haunt the city, he meets a group of strange people who may know what lies behind this mystery.
