A cover store, CoverPigtou, has posted photographs of what the design of Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, complete with space for cameras and housing for the S Pen. The smartphone looks squarer, a “spiritual” heir to the Galaxy Note series.
The “mockup” for the covers reveals the design of the Galaxy S22 Ultra
Before a smartphone is in production, some manufacturers provide a “mockup“, A dummy device simply to show the shapes of the new phone. This serves to those who produce accessories and covers to have a clear idea of size of the smartphone, as well as of the position from door, buttons e cameras.
CoverPigtou in collaboration with David from @xleaks7 showed the mockup, which reveals some interesting details about the new Samsung smartphone. And above all it confirms that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will be the true heir of the Note series. First of all because it recalls the squared lines, less soft than those of the ‘normal’ Galaxy S series. But also for how integrates the S Pen.
Samsung had already made some of its smartphones compatible with the Note stylus. This year Galaxy S21 Ultra it fully supports it, as well as the folding Galaxy Z Fold 3. But it looks like the new S22 Ultra will house the S Pen inside, just like it happened with the Note line.
CoverPigtou also confirms the position of the power and volume keys on the right side, leaving the left uncluttered. But above all it confirms the “P” arrangement of the sensors for the rear camera.
Samsung usually announces the new Galaxy S series at the beginning of the year, between January and February. And if many new details crop up in the coming months, it seems that the Korean company has decided on the design. News that should please fans of the Galaxy Note line: it’s not dead, it’s just changed its name.
