The ROG Phone 8 Pro series comes with a brand new 6.78 inch AMOLED panel which supports adaptive refresh rates thanks to LTPO technology. The system can automatically adjust the refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz depending on the activity being performed, thus reducing energy consumption. Users can also choose a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz for smooth gameplay, plus the touch sampling rate it goes up to 720 Hz for truly responsive input.
Maximum brightness is now increased to 2500 nit, so users can play games or watch movies even in sunlight without any problem. Finally, the ultrawide selfie camera 32MP front has a wider field of view (FoV), from 73° to 90°, making it better for group selfies. The lens has an RGBW sensor which ensures clean images with less noise, even in low light conditions.
Asus ROG Phone 8: features improved by artificial intelligence
Four gaming-focused AI features in the ROG Phone 8 series enhance gamers’ experience. Gamers can easily move a game into the background with Background Mode or capture key moments with X Capture, making these devices indispensable for the most demanding gamers. The intuitive AI Grabber for text capture and X Sense further enhance the experience by providing suggestions and assistance when needed. AI Grabber can now also capture text directly from games using Machine-Learning Recognition technology, while X Capture and X Sense 2.0 now support more new flagship games thanks to the technology AI Pattern Recognition.
Other AI-powered features include semantic search using natural language in the Gallery, Launcher, and Settings.
