The composer of Atomic Heart has decided to support the Australian Red Cross in Ukraine, donating his fee
The latest effort by the guys from Mundfish has been available on PC and consoles since last February 21 (find our review at this link), but, due to the current Russian-Ukrainian situation, some controversies were not delayed. Recently, however, a commendable initiative has come from Mick Gordon, who worked on the music for the game. The composer, who has made himself known worldwide in recent years above all for having worked on the highly appreciated soundtrack of Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal (here our review of the latter), made it known, via a statement on Twitter, to have decided to donate his fee for the music of Atomic Heart in support of the Australian Red Cross in Ukraine.

In the press release (which you can find below), Gordon made it known that he condemned the Russian offensive, defined as an invasion not decided by the Russian people, but by an authoritarian regime that disregards dignity and human rights. The composer therefore takes sides in solidarity with the Ukrainian people and makes known his decision to donate his compensation for having worked on the music of Atomic Heart to the Australian Red Cross in Ukraine.

Gordon then also spoke of Mundfish, the software house behind the title, spending nice words on the team and saying he was very happy and satisfied to have been able to contribute to the creation of their latest work. It is undoubtedly a beautiful gesture that helps to keep solidarity alive with all the victims of this sad situation, in the hope that the cessation of all hostilities will come as soon as possible.
