It hasn’t been that long since Electronic Arts officially and surprisingly postponed the release date of Battlefield 2042. A decidedly unexpected decision, but one that underlines the company’s willingness to do better and do more. ahead of the launch now scheduled for next November 19th on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC. In the past few hours, moreover, some leaks concerning the dates of the open beta of the shooter have started to spread on the net, but it was still nothing confirmed … until a few minutes ago.
Electronic Arts has indeed officially announced that the open beta phase of Battlefield 2042 will be available from 6 to 9 October next. To be precise, anyone who has pre-ordered the game will be able to start playing the beta version starting from 6, while everyone else will have to wait until October 8 to be able to try it. The preload, on the other hand, will start for everyone starting from 5 October. As confirmed by the official EA FAQ, the progress made in this trial version will not be transferable to the full game. Battlefield 2042: all the details and dates of the open beta
The Battlefield 2042 open beta will feature a mode, Conquest, and a map, Orbital. It will therefore not be possible to experience the news such as the Battlefield Portal or the mysterious Hazard Zone, but we are rather convinced that the content present in the beta can still give us a good taste of what will be the main gameplay of the next iteration of the Electronic Arts multiplayer shooter. They will be included four specialists, Webster Mackay, Maria Falck, Pyotr “Boris” Guskovysky and Wikus “Casper” Van Daele.
