It hasn’t been that long since Electronic Arts officially and surprisingly postponed the release date of Battlefield 2042. A decidedly unexpected decision, but one that underlines the company’s willingness to do better and do more. ahead of the launch now scheduled for next November 19th on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC. In the past few hours, moreover, some leaks concerning the dates of the open beta of the shooter have started to spread on the net, but it was still nothing confirmed … until a few minutes ago.

Electronic Arts has indeed officially announced that the open beta phase of Battlefield 2042 will be available from 6 to 9 October next. To be precise, anyone who has pre-ordered the game will be able to start playing the beta version starting from 6, while everyone else will have to wait until October 8 to be able to try it. The preload, on the other hand, will start for everyone starting from 5 October. As confirmed by the official EA FAQ, the progress made in this trial version will not be transferable to the full game. The Battlefield 2042 open beta will feature a mode, Conquest, and a map, Orbital.
