What is the expected date for the next Bitcoin halving?

The halving occurs every four years, and this year, the expected date was late April or early May. In reality, however, more recent estimates place it in the time frame from 13 to 18 April, so really soon. Following this year's halving, the reward a miner will receive for his “work” will drop from 6.25 to 3.125.

Gianluigi Guida, CEO of Binance Italy, explained:

This year, the Bitcoin halving occurs in a unique context, with the emergence of other significant events in the crypto ecosystem, such as the recent approval of Bitcoin spot ETFs, which has sparked greater interest and institutional participation. In this context, it is crucial that investors, especially newcomers to the crypto-asset landscape, understand the long-term importance of the halving, manage their expectations and consider that immediate changes in prices may not be justified. The halving, in fact, has lasting effects on the entire cryptocurrency ecosystem, contributing to its evolution and the construction of innovative infrastructures in the sector.
