Call of Duty games have always been known for focusing primarily on multiplayer rather than on the story mode, but despite this there is still a segment of players who they love to have fun with the countryside. Generally the singleplayer story of COD has always been a fairly short experience but, apparently, it seems that with their new title Activision has decided to drastically shorten its duration. According to some reports, in fact it seems that the campaign of the new Call of duty: Modern Warfare 3 will last only 4 hours.
Modern Warfare 3’s campaign was initially supposed to be DLC
Players who pre-ordered Call of duty: Modern Warfare 3 were able to Preview the campaign of this new chapter. The fans seem to be real though very dissatisfied of experience, given that apparently It seems to only last 4 hours. Also many players they also criticized the quality of the title’s writingcalling it lackluster and comparable to a filler.
The short duration of the campaign of this new COD is probably due to the Activision’s initial plans about a new chapter in the series. The company initially in fact had no plans to release a new Call of Duty in 2023but instead a DLC dedicated to singleplayer and one to multiplayer. In the end, however, Activision changed its mind and decided to combine these two additional contents and then publish them as a separate game. Obviously the quality of a story is not evident from its duration or from the fact that it was initially planned as a DLC but, given the first reactions of the public, it seems that the new COD campaign may not receive a very warm reception at launch.
Call of duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be available November 10th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S.
