The insider returns to whet the appetite of Call of Duty fans: we already have some information on Modern Warfare 3 and its contents
Now that the series has both the attention of Nintendo fans and the interest of PlayStation gamers, Call of Duty has other cartridges to fire: specifically, details on Modern Warfare 3 straight from Activision’s best-known IP insider, the good ol’ guy Jason Schreier. The publisher recently confirmed that the chapter scheduled for this year is the third chapter of “modern warfare”, continuing the story from where we left off. Now, in a tweet, the Bloomberg journalist has put two and two together with recent rumors, including the hypothesis of maintaining some content between the published episode and its successor. As predicted (by Schreier), Activision has openly confirmed the insider’s suspicions.
The new game, Modern Warfare 3, will continue the story and allow players to bring over content from last year’s game. Original plans were for Modern Warfare 2 to get two years of support. This new one’s led by Sledgehammer with support from Infinity Ward, Raven, and others

What else does Jason Schreier know about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3?
The development of the game is done by the development team Sledgehammer Games, with assistance from Infinity Ward, Raven and others. The project started out as a “premium expansion” to Modern Warfare II, but Schreier had his suspicions earlier this year. Apparently, he was farsighted. Whether this involves a reconfirmation of the classic tradition of annual releases or a change in the status quo of Activision, then, remains to be seen. In the meantime, if you want to get an idea of the publisher’s contemporary war simulation, we have a review of the most recent release. For the rest, all we can do before the official reveal is wait, knowing that the insider will always be one step ahead of all of us…
