Leone Film Group, Rai Cinema and 01 Distribution are pleased to present the Italian teaser trailer of Killers of the Flower Moon, the highly anticipated new film by Oscar winner Martin Scorsese which will have its world premiere on May 20 at the Cannes Film Festival. A stellar cast with Oscar winners Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio for an epic crime based on a true story: a sequence of brutal and mysterious murders, known as the “reign of terror”, which bloodied the Osage nation in the 1920s. Among the protagonists also the Oscar candidate Jesse Plemons, Lily Gladstone and Brendan Fraser, winner of the Academy Award 2023 for The Whale.
At the beginning of the 20th century the discovery of oil transformed the existence of the Osage who became immensely rich overnight. The sudden prosperity of these Native Americans attracted the interest of whites who began to manipulate, extort, and deceive Osage property, eventually resorting to murder. Based on David Grann’s acclaimed best-selling novel of the same name, Killers of the Flower Moon is a story of love and betrayal set in a gripping plot to uncover the truth.
