The beginning of this success dates back to September 2003, with the launch of prime digital SLR cameras and of revolutionary EOS 300D. This camera, with its competitive price and compact designlaid the foundation for Canon’s growth in the DSLR market.
During the years, Canon has continued to innovate with cutting-edge productssuch as the EOS-1D and EOS 5D series, which introduced video shooting with digital SLR cameras.
The EOS R system, announced in 2018, led to further developments, including the full-frame mirrorless EOS R5, capable of recording 8K video. Later, in 2021, it was introduced the EOS R3 with advanced fast-moving subject tracking functions, followed by the EOS VR system for recording virtual reality content.
In 2023, Canon has further expanded its range with new models and lenses in the EOS series, anticipating market needs. The EOS R50 mirrorless, full-frame EOS R8 and EOS R100 APS-C mirrorless are just some of the new products that offer advanced performance and intuitive features.
