Canon announces new firmware updates for four cameras: let’s find out together which cameras will benefit from the updates
Canon announces firmware updates per EOS-1D X Mark III, EOS R6, EOS R7 ed EOS R10 which build on user feedback to streamline workflows and enhance compatibility with select lenses and accessories. Users of these EOS R System camera models will be able to easily download firmware updates with a smartphone or tablet, using the Canon Camera Connect app.
Canon: new firmware updates released
Let’s find out together all the Canon cameras that can benefit from firmware updates, namely EOS-1D X Mark III, EOS R6, EOS R7 and EOS R10. We can see that three cameras of the new R system of the mirrorless series are involved, which always tries to meet its users by taking into account the feedback that comes from the first uses. Furthermore, we also have the possibility to go into detail on the type of update available and what improvements are made to the camera.
EOS-1D X Mark III firmware v1.7.0
- Adds the function of saving/loading communication settings to the card to the camera menu
- Allows you to transfer network settings between cameras of the same model
- Allows you to crop and resize images while transferring to FTP server
EOS R6 firmware v1.8.0
- Allows you to crop and resize images while transferring to FTP server
EOS R7 firmware v1.3.0
- Adds support for Canon Speedlite EL-52
- Adds support for Canon RF-S 55-210mm F5-7.1 IS STM
EOS R10 firmware v1.3.0
- Adds support for Canon Speedlite EL-52
- Adds support for Canon RF-S 55-210mm F5-7.1 IS STM
