Canon presents its new imaging solutions, an ever-evolving sector

Canon announced that it will showcase its imaging solutions offering at theInternational Broadcasting Convention (IBC) 2023, the leading international forum dedicated to the creation, management and distribution of content. The event will take place at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Center (Booth C45, Room 11), The Netherlands, from 15 to 18 September.

Multi-camera broadcast studio: Canon’s commitment to imaging innovation

Dedicated to broadcast experts and videomaking enthusiaststhis area will show how the protocol Canon XC can enable seamless high-quality IP multi-camera workflows for different levels of broadcasting, using Canon’s imaging ecosystem.

A dedicated area will be transformed into a broadcast studio demonstrating how Canon products can be brought together using the XC protocol and third-party accessories to produce cinematic images in a live production environment. The filmmaker e Canon Ambassador Sébastien Devaud will be available to talk about the entire set-up. The products presented will include, CR-N700, EOS C300 Mark III, CN8x15, XF605, EOS C70, CN-E18-80mm and other models.

The second area will simulate a mid-level environment to show how Canon camcorders enable small studios, corporate studios and houses of worship to produce perfectly colour-matched images, in line with the broadcast industry quality standard, within budget constraints . In the studio, products such as CR-N500, CR-N300, XF605 and EOS C70, all connected via the Canon XC protocol.

The third area is aimed at content creators and first-time studios using a multi-camera setup and will showcase a range of Canon products offering excellent image quality at a great price. Products on display include XA65, EOS R8 e PowerShot V10.

Virtual production studio

In the virtual production studio we will find the Canon Flex Zoom lenses which are the ideal choice for shooting with virtual backgrounds offering unrivaled data communication, an incredibly shallow depth of field thanks to the fast aperture, for outstanding image quality and minimal distortion. The zone will host only one videocamera C500 Mark II on a cart-mounted tripod to show how lenses can communicate with the XR software, allowing the background to be rendered in line with the lens settings. In the area there will be several virtual backgrounds and an example of photogrammetry.

4K PTZ solutions

The area dedicated to 4K PTZ solutions includes a long list of products that will showcase the exceptional image quality and operability of Canon’s entire range of indoor and outdoor PTZ solutions and related applications.
