Producer Irwin Winkler has confirmed that Creed 4, the next chapter of the saga born as a spin-off of Rocky with Michael B. Jordan, is officially in development
The Creed Verse is finally a reality. The cinematic universe nato come spin-off of the Rocky saga is destined to expand with a fourth chapter, as strongly desired by its protagonist, Michael B. Jordan. Producer Irwin Winkler has indeed confirmed that Creed IV is officially in development and will mark Jordan’s return not only as an actor but also as a director, after the extraordinary success achieved with Creed III.
Born as a spin-off of Rocky, Creed – Born to Fight takes place nine years after the events of Rocky Balboa, the seventh film of the main saga which brought back Sylvester Stallone in the ring. The protagonist of the project, however, is Michael B. Jordan who, in the role of Adonis Johnson, illegitimate son of Apollo Creed, achieved such success as to guarantee the feature film two sequels, Creed II and Creed III, and marked the directorial debut of Jordan himself. As mentioned, Creed 4 has officially entered development, as revealed by the producer Irwin Winkler, who reiterated his complete trust in Michael B. Jordan:
We’re planning on making Creed IV right now. We have a really good story and a really good plot. The plans were delayed due to the strike, like everyone else’s, but we’ll probably be in pre-production in a year.

Michael B. Jordan will then return behind and in front of the camera to continue the story of Adonis Creed. At the moment it is not clear when Creed IV will debut in theaters, but according to Winkler’s words we will have to wait at least a couple of years. The success of Creed III, received positively by both the public and critics, had paved the way for a fourth sequel, also revealing Jordan’s incredible abilities as a director. At the star’s side, we will almost certainly meet again Tessa Thompson who will have to find a way to reconcile her commitments with the MCU, where she plays Valkyrie, with the filming of Creed IV. However, the return of Jonathan Majors, the face of Damian Anderson, Adonis’ old friend and rival in Creed III, is unlikely due to the accusations of domestic violence against him, which could also cost him his contract with the Marvel Studioswhere he lends body and voice to the villain Kang the conqueror and its variants.
