The new trailer for Cruella, out next May 28 on Disney Plus, shows us a really bad Emma Stone!
Cruella in name, and certainly also in fact! The famous villain of the novel The charge of the hundred and one and the Disney animated film of the same name (1961) is preparing – as you already know – to become the protagonist of a lungometraggio in live action. As has long been anticipated, Crudelia De Mon will be played by the Oscar winner for La La Land (2016) Emma Stone.
We recently saw the first official trailer for the spin-off about the quirky antagonist. The first images made us understand that this will be one very modern reinterpretation of the Disney character.
Cruella: the new official trailer
A few hours ago a new official trailer, in which Emma Stone plays a super bad Cruella with features inspired by punk, which exploded in those years. Let’s see it together:
If the Cruella of the well-known cartoon and the one played by Glenn Close in 101 Dalmatians – This time the magic is true (1996) had surprised us with their perfidy, who knows then what the American actress will combine in her role. From the images of the new trailer we certainly expect an extraordinary one concentration of evil, as well as gorgeous costumes (by two-time Oscar winner Jenny Beavan).
The cruel (whose original title is Cruella) will be released next May 28 simultaneously in theaters and in streaming, on Disney Plus and Sky Q. The film is directed by Craig Gillespie (Lars and a girl of his own, Tonya), who sets the story in London in the 1970s, in full punk revolution. Estella – this is the real name of our Cruella – is a girl with a secret dream: to become a fashion star. Friendship with Baroness von Hellman (Emma Thompson), an icon of the fashion world, will soon turn into rivalry, leading Estella to embrace her evil side and torment her and her beloved Dalmatian.
The screenplay for Crudelia is by Dana Fox and Tony McNamara, on a subject by Aline Brosh McKenna and Kelly Marcel & Steve Zissis. Production is by Andrew Gunn, Marc Platt and Kristin Burr, while Emma Stone, Michelle Wright, Jared LeBoff and Glenn Close are the executive producers.
