In the past few hours, CD Projekt Red has confirmed that the first, true, expansion of Cyberpunk 2077 will not arrive this year, but in 2023: let’s find out all the details together
There has been a lot of talk about Cyberpunk 2077, especially over the past year, as a title that has miserably failed the expectations of all fans, critics and gamers. And that’s partly true, considering the disastrous launch which CD Projekt Red has consciously gone through, especially as regards the “old-gen” versions of the title (remember when Sony withdrew the PlayStation 4 version from the Store?). Despite everything, however, the company has promised to continue working on its work, which, leaving aside the very serious technical problems and the broken promises (a thought also to the resurrected No Man’s Sky), still turns out to be a good adventure. Find our review who.
Expansions were also expected, already announced by the same company, but which have been gradually postponed because the developers are still working to solve the serious problems that afflict Cyberpunk 2077. Patch on patch, improvements on improvements, but the paid expansion promised from the start (and which has already been in development for a while) is slow to show. CD Projekt Red is also currently expanding for new projects, so we definitely weren’t expecting any good news regarding the DLC. And indeed it was.
As it was mentioned in @CDPROJEKTRED_IR financial call moments ago, Cyberpunk 2077’s upcoming expansion will arrive in 2023. Please stay tuned for more details coming later this year 🦾 https://t.co/rq1w6RDTDL

Cyberpunk 2077: no expansion before 2023
Via a Twitter post, the company has announced that it will still take some time to see the Cyberpunk 2077 DLC, which should see the light in the course of 2023, disillusioning all those who still hoped for this 2022. CD Projekt Red has not specified whether it will be the only paid expansion that we will see for the game, even if before the launch there was talk of a treatment similar to The Witcher 3, which had seen arriving two.
Expanding or not expanding, CD Projekt also announced that Cyberpunk 2077 has sold a total of 18 million copies worldwide. A good number, certainly, but that could have been infinitely higher, considering the extent of the hype that had surrounded the title shortly before the launch. What do you think of it?
