Persuasion | the modern key to Jane Austen’s novel
Based on the novel Persuasion by the British writer Jane Austen, the film will feature a different setting, centered around a modern key with a great spirit.
Protagonist Anne Elliot (played by Dakota Johson) known for being nonconformist and stubborn, she lives with her family on the verge of bankruptcy. Insightful and gifted with great wit and modern living, her attitude towards life changes dramatically when the past comes unexpectedly knocking on her door. An old suitor still infatuated with her, Frederick Wentwork upsets her great confidence. Anne will be faced with a huge dilemma: to abandon the past forever or to believe in second chances?
Gone are the days when actress Dakota Johnson played the role of the shy but “energetic” Anastasia Steele, protagonist of the saga Fifty Shades of Gray. Given the success and burden of the actress herself; Melanie Griffith’s daughter of art over the years has been able to fully relaunch herself, winning the attention of the general public thanks to the roles covered in successful interpretations such as Breathlessness del 2018, remake directed by Luca Guadagnino.
No further details were revealed regarding the start and unfolding of filming.
