With a post on its social channels, Netflix announced the release of the second season of Darkness and Bones, scheduled for March 16, 2023
We finally have a date for the second season of Darkness and Bones. The TV series based on the fantasy saga by Leigh Bardugo returns to Netflix on March 16 and, in support of the announcement, the streaming platform has also published several shots which allow us to take a first look at the second season, where we will find Alina and General Kirigan.
Many Announcements for the second season, because alongside the protagonists of the first we find new faces, from Jack Wolfe, who we saw in The Witcher, in the role of Wylan, a member of the Six of Crows, to Patrick Gibson (The OA), who plays the role of the son of the King of Rakvan. Also joining them are Anna Leon Brophy as Tamar Kir-Bataar, Lewis Tan as Tolya Yul-Batar, Tommy Rodger, Rhoda Ofori-Attah and Alistair Nwachukwu. Many additions, therefore, to an already very rich cast.
Darkness and Bones: What Happens in Season 2
In the first season we saw the fearsome Generale Kirigan (Ben Barnes) re-emerge from the Fault with even more powers than before and now we will meet again Alina (Jessie Mei Lei) and Mal (Archie Renaux) fight for their own destiny and that of the world. Alina’s mission is to bring down the Fault and save Ravka, but faced with a revived and even more powerful Kirigan, who also has a brand new army of shadow-monsters and Grisha recruits under his orders.
To face the power of Kirigan, Alina and Mal will have to gather their own army, probing alliances and traveling the continent in search of mythical creatures that can expand Alina’s powers. Less and less is missing and finally Darkness and bones will make its return on Netflix.
