Days Gone on PC: no DLSS or Ray Tracing, and the bailouts?

In a new FAQ session on the official Bend Studio channels, the company has unveiled some additional details on the porting of Days Gone on PC: no Ray Tracing and DLSS

One of the most talked about titles of 2019, both for its many merits, but especially for the even more obvious defects, Days Gone is preparing to arrive also on PC. After the next-gen debut on PlayStation 5 last year, Bend Studio has set to work to create a good port of the Deacon adventure, with unlocked framerate and support for ultra-wide monitors. The chatter about a possible Days Gone 2 has gradually calmed down and May 18, the release date of the title on PC, is approaching by leaps and bounds.

In a new FAQ session on Bend Studio’s official channels, the company answered some interesting questions related to Days Gone’s performance on PC. Two features that had not yet been talked about are Ray Tracing and Nvidia’s DLSS support. Unfortunately, neither of these will be supported by the Days Gone port for PC. At least, what bodes well is that in the case of DLSS the lack of support seems to be only momentary, or at least this is what transpires from the answer to the FAQ.

Days Gone on PC: no Ray Tracing, but how does it behave with bailouts?

The FAQ also talked about the possible transfer of Days Gone saves from the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 versions to the PC version. Unfortunately, as it also seems quite normal to us, it will not be possible to do this, as has happened for other ports of Sony exclusives (Horizon Zero Dawn). If you want to see if your PC will allow you to play the Bend Studio title, here are the minimum and recommended requirements.

No Ray Tracing or DLSS for Days Gone on PC, or at least for now. What do you think of the Bend Studio title? Have you already played it or are you waiting for this version?
