DICE LA changes its name to Ripple Effect and confirms work on a new game
The co-founder of Respawn, Vince Zampella, will continue to lead the team, working alongside the GM Christian Grass, who expressed himself as follows regarding this change:
“We are really proud of what we have accomplished as DICE LA, and the DICE team itself will forever remain a part of our DNA, but over the past eight years we have developed our own culture, along with our own way of doing things. We are excited about the idea of looking to the future, expanding the studio and giving life to our own identity. “
These, however, are the words of Vince Zampella:
“The talents in question have a proven track record of making high-quality titles, and the studio is poised to make even more incredible games in the near future. Thanks to a new campus in Los Angeles and the presence of remote job positions, now is truly the best time to join us. “
In addition to the previously announced unreleased mode for Battlefield 2042, the developers have confirmed that they are also working on a new game, not yet revealed.
The story of Ripple Effect it’s really interesting: it all started when DreamWorks Interactive it was bought by Electronic Arts in 2000, only to be renamed to EA Los Angeles. A new name change, this time in Danger Close Games, took place in 2010, with the studio becoming head of the Medal of Honor. Following the lukewarm reception of the chapter known as Warfighter, in 2013 the team was closed, and part of the staff was transferred to SAYS THE.
