The winners of the 2022 edition

As for this year’s awards, Go Friend Go by Gabriele Licchelli, Francesco Lorusso, Andrea Settembrini, says a last minute on the pier of the port of Patras in Greece. It is the first stage of the Balkan route crossed by countless people every year.

The award ceremony was motivated as follows:

this film shows the steps of those who attempt an exodus from horror by placing themselves at their side, whether they have already arrived, rejected, or are still hidden, hunted down, fleeing.

The film mixes eyewitness accounts with audio and video recordings and succeeds in conveying the taste of earth, effort and obstinacy of a journey that perhaps will never end.

The film may be available On Demand and will have the opportunity to be published in the home video series POPOLI Doc.
