Dollface, the comedy starring Kat Dennings, is set to return with its second season on April 27, on Disnet Plus
April is almost over, yet this month’s releases aren’t over yet. The April 27 in fact, the second brand new season of Dollface. The series, with protagonist Kat Denningswill be formed by 10 episodes like the previous one and will be available in the catalog Starthe section that Disney Plus has dedicated to adults.
The first season told the story of Jules, a girl who, after being left by her historical boyfriend, decides to reconnect with the group of her old friends. The girls, welcoming her back into her group, will allow Jules to relive the pleasure of sharing her female. Over time, the girl will learn the importance of friendship, but also of knowing how to be alone, valuing her own individuality. In Italy the first season had debuted on Star il March 15, 2021with one episode a week.
Dollface season 2 cast and plot
In this second season we will find again Jules and her group of friends formed by Madison, Izzy and Stella who, now on the threshold of thirty years, found themselves having to deal, as well as with pains of lovealso with the pandemic. Rejoined the group of girls, it is time for Jules to to do the math are herselfinvestigate her more thoroughly and in the meantime keep the group compact.
In the role of Jules we will find again Kat Dennings, already known for the sitcom 2 Broke Girls (2011-2017) and for the recent miniseries WandaVision (2021). We will review later Esther Povitsky (protagonist of Alone Together, 2018), in the role of Izzy and Shay Mitchell (known to the general public for Pretty Little Liars 2010 – 2017), in that of Stella. To impersonate Madison, we will review instead Brenda Song, the unforgettable London Tipton in the television series Zack and Cody at the Grand Hotel (2005 – 2008). Also in the cast Matthew Gray Gubler as Wes, Jayson Blair, Lilly Singh, Corinne Foxx e Luke Cook.
Dollface was created by Jordan Weiss and produced by the same Kat Denningscon Margot Robbie.
The enthusiasm of the actresses
The return of the series has been a hit great enthusiasm tra i fanwho found out about the end of the second season shoot from some posts by Instagram that the actresses posted on their profiles. Between these Kat Dennings who, even in the past, had often used the social network to talk about the series. Also this time she did not miss an opportunity to joke, writing:
Hope you guys love Season 2 as much as I suspect. Otherwise it will be 75% my fault
Also Brenda Song published a post on his social profiles, in which he thanked all the cast:
Words cannot express how grateful I am to all of these amazing human beings who have worked so hard to make this season come true. It was a crazy trip but we made it!
