The Dragon Quest series reached uncharted heights for the JRPG world with the release of Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, one of the genre’s greatest exponents and almost certainly one (if not perhaps the) best Dragon Quest never created. There is one spin-off series from the Square Enix franchise that many, often forget, is that of Dragon Quest Monsters. And on the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the series, the company has unveiled a new iteration. The problem is that, obviously, nothing is known about it.
Nothing is known, we only know that there is a Dragon Quest Monsters for Nintendo Switch
There is no release date for the project because, to be honest, it doesn’t even have a name. The announcement, by Square Enix, took place through a trailer designed to celebrate the anniversary of the series, which will fall in September. You can see the trailer above and, to date, we only know that it is in development for Nintendo Switch.
We can safely say that, while waiting for news on Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate, we wouldn’t mind a new chapter of Dragon Quest Monsters. And also considering how good it is in its portable nature, Nintendo Switch also seems to us the best choice for a title like this. In case you weren’t aware, Dragon Quest Monsters is a spin-off of the main series that focuses on catching monsters, breeding them and being able to breed them with each other.
