Hideaki Itsuno announced that Dragon’s Dogma 2the sequel to Dragon’s Dogma, is officially under development. The announcement was made at the end of the 10 Years of Dragon’s Dogma livestream. Itsuno has only revealed that the new game will be developed on the RE Engine; Unfortunately, aside from that, she hasn’t revealed anything else about the title.
The first chapter of Dragon’s Dogma was directed by Hideaki Itsuno from Capcom, also known for his work on Devil May Cry. Dragon’s Dogma’s focus on i fighting in real time in a dark medieval fantasy world intrigued fans.
However it was the deep system of actionthe allies controlled by artificial intelligence e le deep roots RPG which allowed the first installment of the series to take the public by storm – even when the series failed financially.
Although fan hopes for a full-fledged sequel were slim, Capcom’s high-profile data leak indicated that Dragon’s Dogma 2 was in the workshas rekindled hope in the hearts of all fans.
Notably, the hope rose after that Netflix has chosen to make a anime of Dragon’s Dogmawhich debuted on the streaming platform in 2020. Now, the dream has finally come true and during a live stream, Hideaki Itsuno confirmed that the sequel is officially in development.
