ChatGPT as standard on DS cars

The pilot phase of implementation of the service was successfully launched during October 2023 ChatGPT within the infotainment platform DS Iris System. The initiative made it possible to fully exploit generative artificial intelligence, combined with voice recognition DSreceiving considerable appreciation.

Following the positive results obtained during this trial period, during which the use of voice recognition grew by over 50%, DS Automobiles made the decision to offer ChatGPT as a feature as standard. This initiative will involve the entire range, including the DS 3, DS 4, DS 7 and DS 9 models equipped with DS Iris System, available from March 2024.

The big news, of course, is theChatGPT integration as standard: it will therefore not be an option for DS cars. Olivier François, director of DS Automobiles, commented on the news: “As pioneers of the integration of ChatGPT in the automotive world, we are making accessible generative artificial intelligence that is fluid, intuitive and engaging, transforming every path into a unique journey. DS’ mission is to provide customers with an exclusive driving experience.”

How will ChatGPT work?

L’artificial intelligence will be integrated into the new DS Iris System and will then be available for models DS 3, DS 4, DS 7 e DS 9 in Europe. The aim is to expand the potential of the DS infotainment system.

Its function voice assistant is to meet all those requests for which, until now, it was necessary to rely on other devices such as smartphones or guides and maps. Not only, therefore, navigator function, but also assistant which recommends places to visit, places to eat and itineraries to best enjoy every part of the trip.

To access ChatGPT just say the words “Ok Iris” and press the appropriate button on the steering wheel. From there, the possibilities are nearly endless. You can ask anything about the journey and stops at theartificial intelligence, which will provide advice, guides and directives without the need to consult other sources.
